The Inner Sanctuary

Yin Yoga, Reflective Journaling And A Wisdom Sharing Circle

“You are worth the quiet moment.
You are worth the deeper breath.
You are worth the time it takes to slow down,
be still, and rest.

Morgan Flores

Beautiful one, you’re invited to join me for The Inner Sanctuary, a gathering created to help you slow down, soften and come home to yourself. Over three unhurried hours you’ll have the opportunity to set aside the roles you play and the responsibilities you carry so that you can rest, reflect and connect.

Each Inner Sanctuary gathering has a unique theme (details can be found towards the bottom of this page), thoughtfully chosen to support you in deepening your self-connection and the connection you have with community. Slow, spacious and grounding, The Inner Sanctuary is your chance to step away from the noise of your everyday life and be replenished in meaningful ways.

What You Can Expect:

A grounding meditation to help you arrive, settle and centre

A calming Yin Yoga practice encouraging softness, release and rest

Afternoon tea to nourish

An introduction to the theme to expand awareness

Reflective journaling to tune into what’s true for you

A wisdom circle for sharing, listening and learning in community

The Practices

This is a choice-led space. You will always be invited, never expected. Sharing is optional. Listening deeply to yourself is honoured.

Yin Yoga

Yin Yoga is a slow-paced practice. Postures are taken seated or reclined and held for two to five minutes. With the support of props such as bolsters, blankets and blocks, the practice helps release muscular tension, encourages breath awareness and creates space for stillness and self-connection.

Journaling

Through thoughtfully crafted prompts you’ll be invited to reflect and journal on what the theme means to you. This is designed to enhance your self-awareness. You won’t be required to share what you write – it’s solely for you.

Women’s Wisdom Circle

This is an opportunity to share your thoughts and feelings on the theme, and to witness others share theirs, so that we can learn from one another. Sharing is always optional, and listening is valued just as much as speaking.

INNER SANCTUARY THEME: SELF-COMPASSION

Self-compassion is more than a concept, it’s a transformative way of relating to yourself, especially when things feel challenging. At this gathering you’ll be introduced to what self-compassion is and guided to reflect on your relationship with it. You’ll explore ways you can respond to yourself with more kindness and understanding. Through Yin Yoga, reflective journaling and a wisdom sharing circle, you’ll experience how self-compassion can positively enhance the relationship you have with yourself.

If your compassion does not include yourself, it is incomplete.

Your Facilitator – Kerry Solomon

I’m a yoga teacher with twenty four years of teaching experience, an award nominated life coach and a women’s circle facilitator. I’m devoted to creating nurturing spaces where women can slow down, connect to themselves and tend to their well=being. I’ve been facilitating workshops and circles since 2017 and have co-facilitated twenty eight weekend retreats. I bring a lot of experience to this work, but more than that I bring a heartfelt desire – and commitment – that the women who come into experiences with me feel deeply held, heard and valued, and reminded that they are enough just as they are. If you’d like to learn more about me, you can do so here.

Kind Words From Yoga Students and Event Participants

“Being part of Kerry’s day retreat was such an incredibly nourishing and nurturing experience. Kerry brought together a group of women that by the end of the day felt like a community through our opportunities to share and reflect on our stories together. Having the time and space to move mindfully and reflect more deeply left me feeling so rested and rejuvenated. It truly was a magical and impactful experience that I would highly recommend to every woman.” KC

“I have been going to Kerry’s yoga classes for several years which are the highlight of my week, but I was privileged recently to attend a full day retreat she facilitated just outside of Canberra. From the moment I arrived, I felt supported and truly seen. The yoga practices were grounding and suitable for all levels and the journaling and other activities were just what I needed. Kerry was a warm, funny and truly gifted facilitator and I left feeling truly relaxed, nurtured and full of gratitude. I can’t wait to go to her next retreat.” NB

“Kerry takes you on a journey in each class and I always leave feeling energised, revitalised and happy. Kerry is a special person making everyone in her class feel capable and valued. Her kindness, her calmness and her patience make her an incredible teacher.” RB

“Kerry’s yoga classes are nurturing, supportive, welcoming and accepting. They leave me feeling stronger, wiser and filled with love and gratitude. The restorative aspects to the practice that Kerry brings are second to none and encourage me to stop and allow myself to rest and heal in a substantial way.” DK

I’d love to hear from you
